Qatar in freight-to-Kuwait move

EVER-expanding Qatar Airways aims to boost freight operations in the Gulf region with the start of an A300F flight to Kuwait.

The Kuwait City route will join freighter services to Bahrain, Dubai and Riyadh. Adding Kuwait City increases the company’s cargo network to 30 cities.

The airline’s cargo operations will move to the US$14.5 billion New Doha International Airport when it is operational.

In April, Qatar launched cargo flights to Bangalore and Kozhikode (India) and Hanoi (Vietnam). In 2010, Qatar Airways started its first cargo operations to North America with a freighter to Chicago (US).
