Qatar relaxes rules for airfreight companies

QATAR has passed a law that will allow citizens and companies from the other Gulf Cooperation Council countries to independently set up airfreight companies within the emirate.

The companies already operating within the emirate have six months to comply with all the requirements of the new regulation

Information on the full implications of the law are sketchy, but inspectors from the regulatory authority will be allowed to enter the premises of a licensed company to check documents or conditions when they want.
