Raya rebranding completed

Raya Airways confirmed on October 2 that it had completed the process of rebranding the former Transmile Air Services business.
Raya Airways was established in July last year when TAS was spun out of the Transmile Group. That restructuring process is now complete, and Raya is pressing ahead with plans to expand its service offering and increase its network of destinations served from its base at Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah airport in Kuala Lumpur.
Central to these plans are the arrival of up to six B757F aircraft to replace Raya’s elderly fleet of B727F freighters, which have been in traffic since 2000. One B757F is already in service, flying five nights per week between Kuala Lumpur and Hong Kong on behalf of DHL Express. Raya expects to receive a further B757F before the end of the year, and hopes to eventually operate a six-strong fleet.
Having recently begin flights between Ho Chi Minh City and Kuala Lumpur with a B727F aircraft, Raya plans to expand its network further, improving links between key hubs in Kuala Lumpur, Singapore and Hong Kong, and operating new services to destinations such as Phnom Penh and Balikpapan. The company has also appointed the HAE Group as global sales agent to support future growth.
