Runners on the runway

Anyone in the Atlanta area this weekend might be interested to know that Hartsfield-Jackson airport is hosting the third annual Mayor’s 5K on its fifth runway Saturday, 30 September. Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed and airport general manager Roosevelt Council will join more than 1,500 runners and walkers as they take off on Runway 10-28, in the event which is sponsored by Delta Air Lines, Mizuno and HMS Host.
According to the airport, the flat, fast, surface will be a perfect opportunity for runners to set personal bests.
Should be a walk in the park, then.
