Safi Airways launch service to Afghanistan

SAFI Airways has launched a scheduled non-stop service between Frankfurt and Kabul, Afghanistan, effective 15 June. The thrice-weekly flights depart Frankfurt airport on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays at 20.15. The private Afghan carrier is using Boeing 767-200 ER jets with a two-class configuration. The aircraft will also be offering up to 10 metric tons of cargo capacity.
Peter Schmitz, Fraport AG’s executive senior vice-president for ground services, said: “Frankfurt Airport is served by more than 130 airlines that link the Frankfurt/Rhine Main region to some 300 destinations in 105 countries. We are pleased to welcome Safi as a new airline at FRA and that Safi has added this promising Frankfurt-Kabul route. We wish Safi Airways great success and happy landings.”
