SIA Cargo boosts Pacific network

SINGAPORE Airlines (SIA) Cargo has introduced a new freighter route to Jakarta (Indonesia) and elevated Asia frequencies.
The once-weekly freighter service to Soekarno-Hatta International Airport will be increased to twice weekly in due course. SIA said the additional freight capacity will provide shippers with more choices and faster movement of their cargo to markets around the world.
In August SIA Cargo increased its frequency to Xiamen (China) from three to five times weekly, and its frequency to Shanghai (China) from seven to eight times weekly.
The frequency to Sydney (Australia) jumped from four to seven times weekly, while Auckland’s (New Zealand) frequency was lifted from three to five times a week.
Increased import demand into the south west Pacific region has prompted the expansion.
