time:matters Spare Parts Logistics celebrates 10 years

Germany-headquartered time:matters is celebrating 10 years of its Spare Parts Logistics division.
Set up at the end of 2007 when the Lufthansa-owned logistics company won a tender from Siemens Healthcare and Fujitsu-Siemens, the division started out serving Scandinavia and Italy only.
It now transports urgently needed spare parts throughout its own European network – including France, the UK, Spain, Greece, the Baltics and Moscow – as well as global partner networks to customers in industries such as agricultural equipment, medical technology, IT and automotives.
For example, time:matters noted: “Fast availability of agricultural machinery is particularly essential in harvest time to avoid expensive crop shortfalls. Companies can use the service to keep rental and storage expenses for valuable spare parts low and save on personnel costs. The end customer benefits from an optimal and reliable aftersales service, even in outlying regions.”
Services include overnight delivery, web-based cargo tracking and automated billing.
Christian Mörtl, chief operating officer of time:matters, said: “We are currently pulling out all of the stops to further optimise our interfaces to customer systems to make our service as simple as online shopping.”

  • time:matters opened its first air station outside Europe in November 2017, setting up in Tel Aviv to cater for high-tech/semicon, medical electronics, agricultural technology and telecommunications demand in the area.
