Turkish Cargo connects to Libya

TURKISH Cargo will launch scheduled freighter flights to the Libyan airport of Mitiga, 8km next to Tripoli.

The flights will be twice-weekly and depending on demand will be performed by an A310 freighter, offering a capacity of 36 tonnes, or an A330-200 freighter with a capacity of 65 tonnes.

The company is one of the first airlines to launch freighters to Libya after civil war and the death of despot Colonel Gaddafi.

Turkish Cargo also carries freight in the belly of Turkish Airlines’ daily passenger flights from Istanbul (Turkey) to Benghazi.
