AIR cargo is known for hauling the ‘big and ugly’ around the world – cogs, diggers and crates.
Now it is sprung to the aid of the small and ugly with award winning results.
Virgin Atlantic Cargo has helped Mugly, an eight-year-old Chinese Crested pooch carry off the The Ugliest Dog in the World title.
Proud owner Bev Nicholson says: “The Virgin team were great and helped to make Mugly feel like a star before he was even crowned.
“We really appreciated the hands on care and attention he was given and he was certainly on top form when he arrived.
“We thought he’d be the underdog against so many pets but he did us proud.”
Helen Evans, who runs Virgin Atlantic Cargo’s pet travel service, says: “We are delighted to have played a part of Mugly’s well-earned success.
“As well as having a famous face, Mugly is also a therapy dog who helps children with reading difficulties to build up their confidence so he fully deserved some pampering.
“We hope to welcome him back onboard one of our flights in the near future.”
