UPS appoints Ireland chief

UPS has appointed Elisabeth Rodriguez as its country manager for UPS Ireland. A 16-year veteran of the express carrier, she takes over from Andy Smith who becomes transportation operations manager for the UK, Ireland and Nordics District, based out of London.
Rodriguez started her career at UPS in 2001 in Dublin as a billing administrator, rising through the ranks to become UPS Europe small package finance manager.
She said: “Ireland has seen strong export growth in the last of couple years, and there are considerable opportunities for UPS to help Irish businesses tap into the global market.”
UPS has six operating facilities in Ireland, a delivery fleet of more than 120 vehicles, and a workforce of about 300.
