CHAMP and GLS Hong Kong extend their partnership

Luxembourg-headquartered logistics IT systems provider CHAMP Cargosystems has extended its partnership with e-freight specialist Global Logistics System Hong Kong (GLS Hong Kong, or GLSHK) to provide a joint solution designed to enable small and medium-sized freight forwarders in Hong Kong to create and submit electronic air waybills (e-AWB) quickly and efficiently.
GLS Hong Kong will offer its multi-carrier cargo portal EzyCargo, with the portal offering benefiting from extended functionality due to the addition of CHAMP’s freight forwarding solution Logitude. Partnered with Logitude, this advanced version of EzyCargo is said by CHAMP to “provide a full freight forwarding solution that is also capable to address the very specific Hong Kong-related co-loading scenarios involving brokers”.
Nicholas Xenocostas, vice president, global sales and marketing at CHAMP Cargosystems, believes that the increased level of collaboration will strengthen the companies’ relationship and joint activities, noting: “GLS Hong Kong is the key CCS (cargo community system) provider in the region and EzyCargo has been extremely well positioned to serve the air cargo community.”
Terry Lo, GLS Hong Kong CEO added: “Our EzyCargo platform provides a Software as a Service offering that is easy and quick to set up. With the combined Logitude features, small and medium-sized forwarders in Hong Kong in particular will benefit from easy and affordable access to an advanced solution to maximise efficiency and productivity. Not only will they become more competitive, they will also be able to support IATA’s e-AWB initiative.”
