Champ to smooth Silk Way West Airline’s cargo operations

Silk Way West Airlines has become the latest carrier to go live with Champ’s Weight & Balance load planning service for its fleet of Boeing 747 freighters, following approval from the Azerbaijan Civil Aviation Authority.
The software provider said the IT solution would give faster load planning with greater accuracy, while optimising aircraft fuel burn.
The software includes an auto-load option with built-in logic to ensure effective off-loading on multiple flight-leg operations, allowing the carrier to efficiently and safely plan all freighter aircraft loads, while helping load-masters keep an aircraft within permissible centre of gravity limits throughout the flight.
It ensures compliance with operational and safety requirements and enables comprehensive audit trails and reporting.
Silk Way West Airline’s vice president of global operations, Emile Khasanshin, said: “We were looking for a product that would let us simplify and streamline aircraft weight and balance work processes, while meeting our operational requirements and load restrictions.”
Champ’s vice president global sales and marketing Nicholas Xenocostas added: “Weight & Balance is just another of the Champ suite of solutions the airline has incorporated into its daily operations. We are delighted to have an ongoing relationship with the airlines devoted to such operational excellence.”
In addition to Weight & Balance, Silk Way West Airlines uses Champ’s Traxon Global Customs, Cargospot Airline and Cargospot Revenue applications.
