AEI selects STAECO as conversion centre

STAECO facility in China

US-based Aeronautical Engineers Inc (AEI), the passenger to freighter aircraft conversion specialist, has selected China’s Taikoo (Shandong) Aircraft Engineering Co, (STAECO), as an Authorized Conversion Center.

“As we gear up production for the B737-800SF programme, we needed to expand our conversion line capacity,” said Robert Convey, AEI senior vice president sales and marketing, adding: “STAECO is perfectly situated to serve the broader Asia-Pacific region and is an expert in narrowbody maintenance and modifications with vast experience performing cargo conversions.”

AEI currently has three active Authorized Conversion Centers including, Commercial Jet  and Commercial Jet Services in the US  and KF Aerospace in Canada.
