Hourcade leaves IATA after 13 years

Céline Hourcade

IATA’s head of cargo innovation Celine Hourcade has announced she is leaving the organisation after more than 13 years.

Hourcade revealed the news in a LinkedIn post, saying she planned to take a long summer break before starting on a new adventure.

“This is with both sadness and excitement that I left IATA last week after 13 years of a fascinating and incredible journey,” she said. “Time to leave the known, explore new things but continue pushing for cargo transformation.”

Hourcade has played a key role in several of IATA’s recent cargo transformation initiatives – the Future Air Cargo Executives (FACE) programme; the Air Cargo Makes It Happen promotional campaign; the standard to measure the Air Cargo Carbon Footprint; the Global Shippers Surveys; the Simplifying the Business Cargo programme and Drones for tomorrow’s air cargo initiative.

“A big thank you to my team, my mentors, the best boss ever, and all the partners I’ve been privileged to work with and the member airlines I’ve served,” she concludes.
