Ontario enjoys good growth in October

Ontario International Airport in California saw its commercial freight volumes grow by 4.6% year on year in October to reach a figure of more than 66,000 tons.
This was an encouraging performance, after airfreight volume growth was said to have been “flat” in September.
Over the first 10 months of 2019, Ontario’s freight volumes rose by 3.5% year on year, to more than 605,000 tons.
Mail shipment volumes, meanwhile, decreased almost 42% in October and by 23% on a year-to-date basis.
Ontario International is located approximately 35 miles east of downtown Los Angeles in southern California. It is a full-service airport with non-stop commercial jet service to 22 major airports across the US, Mexico and Taiwan.
It has an average of 72 daily departures offered by nine air carriers.
