Sara Van Gelder to join Nallian

Sara Van Gelder from the cargo team at Brussels Airport will move to join air cargo software firm Nallian next month.

Van Gelder will help airport communities that have adopted Nallian’s cloud-based platform to get quick and maximum value from these initiatives.

Van Gelder said that she had been instrumental in driving forward BRUcloud, which runs on its software.

Other airports that use the Nallian platform include: Liege Airport, Luxembourg Airport, Vienna Airport, London Heathrow and Dallas Fort-Worth.

Nallian chief executive Jean Verheyen said: “We look very much forward to leveraging Van Gelder’s drive and deep expertise. Not only to help our clients, but also to help drive forward Nallian’s product portfolio.”

Van Gelder added: “My dream is to see airport cargo communities around the globe adopting similar digital initiatives, so that one day, air cargo can not just claim back the position it deserves, but also cope with growth without having to double physical infrastructure.

“That day, air cargo will be operating truly as one. And I believe that the best possible place for me to have the broadest possible impact on realising this dream is at Nallian.”

Earlier this year, director of cargo and logistics at Brussels Airport Company Steven Polmans announced he would be leaving the role by the end of the year.
