Freight down but trend is up

Danske Bank Markets’ European Freight Forwarding volume index showed a two-point drop in January compared with two months ago.
However, expectations are still for an increase in volume in the coming two months, it said. The airfreight figure was roughly in line with the overall market trend, but there has been a strong recovery in volume, which is expected to continue into March, it said.
