MasAir Cargo Airline has started operating scheduled flights from Mexico City and Quito to Frankfurt, under an ACMI contract for Senator International.

The flights, which are being operated three times per week using a Boeing 767-300 freighter aircraft, enable cargo to be distributed from Frankfurt to onward destinations in Europe, as well as extending Senator’s Atlantic Bridge (SAB) product.

MasAir is selling and marketing capacity on the flights.

Alvaro Cortina, commercial director at Mas Air, commented: “We are thrilled to start 2021 with such a paramount agreement. This new operation marks what we expect to be the beginning of a very productive and long-lasting relationship with Senator.

“Additionally, by including Europe within MasAir’s online schedule, we are finally able to enter a market that has been widely demanded by our customers around the world.”

Tim-Oliver Kirschbaum, chief executive of Senator International, added: “MasAir is the best partner for these flights to and from Mexico, as they are a reliable, experienced operator and have a very strong presence in the market.

“By serving an important market with a dedicated controlled capacity, Senator is able to extend its SAB, product and offer a stable and reliable service to it’s customers.

“Meanwhile it connects Greenville Spartanburg, Chicago Rockford International, Frankfurt, Frankfurt Hahn, Singapore, Johannesburg and now also Mexico City. In total, 24 flights per week.”
