PayCargo has appointed Amit Gairola chief design officer as the company continues to grow.

Gairola will be based in London and will lead a team focused on the product and strategy of PayCargo’s expansion in Europe, Middle East, and Asia (EMEIA).

He will also have global responsibility for PayCargo’s data business.

Gairola worked previously at Amazon for ten years in a variety of general management, product and commercial roles, including most recently as general manager of Amazon Freight in Europe.

In June, PayCargo announced a Series B investment of $125m by global venture capital and private equity firm Insight Partners, which is being used to fund the EMEIA expansion as well as digital payment tools and services for platform users.
