Flexport adds partner network

Flexport has expanded its reach by adding a network of partners that customers can utilise through its digital platform.

The forwarder said that its “certified partner network” is an ” industry-first ecosystem of logistics service providers”.

However, some have pointed out that freight forwarders have always utilised agency networks to expand their service offering into new territories.

“To ensure consistently high quality, certified partners are held to thorough data, security and compliance standards and equipped with the Flexport Platform to ensure end-to-end milestone visibility and performance monitoring,” Flexport said.

The network will allow Flexport clients to access 89 countries where certified partners currently operate.

The partners will benefit from access to the Flexport digital platform, the forwarder said.

“The current supply chain challenges highlight the need for localized expertise that can make the difference in a pinch,” said Will Urban, Chief Revenue Officer at Flexport. “The Certified Partner Network lets Flexport tap into local capabilities in a way that disrupts the traditional freight forwarding model.”
