Sweden-based TAM, Täby Air Maintenance has delivered its 25th Saab 340 cargo conversion to global lessor Jetstream Aviation Capital.

The aircraft (a 340B with msn 336), not yet painted in its new livery, was transported to Jetstream’s base in Miami, Florida.

Jetstream is also the launch customer for TAM’s Saab 2000 cargo conversion programme. TAM started converting the high-speed turboprop Saab 2000 regional airliner into cargo configuration in January.

“Delivering the 25th Saab 340 Cargo is an important milestone for us, and together with our new exciting project, the first Saab 2000 cargo conversion, I am proud to state that we have firmly established us as the prime Saab Conversion Centre,” said Pär Gulle, TAM managing director.

The current milestone of 25 conversions, including kits supplied, will be followed by additional kits and conversions this year.

Further development of the Saab 340 cargo conversion, as well as in-house parts production for the next generation cargo converted Saab 340s, is currently being prepared by TAM’s design organisation.

TAM offers aircraft maintenance, support, modifications and repairs, with a focus on Saab 340, Saab 2000 and ATR 72 regional airliners.

Jetstream Aviation Capital is A global aircraft lessor focused exclusively on commercially-operated turboprop regional aircraft and engines.
