Global freight management and logistics network The WACO System (WACO) has announced that BAFCO International Shipping and Logistics Co., Ltd. (BAFCO) will be the latest addition to its global freight forwarding network as the representative for Saudi Arabia.

Along with services including airfreight, ocean freight, customs clearance, warehousing, and distribution, BAFCO specialises in project cargo, the movement of personal effects, live animals, dangerous goods, and perishables.

“BAFCO is proud to be WACO’s partner and representative in Saudi Arabia and we look forward to forging many new alliances,” said Mohammad Aslam Kazi, chairman, BAFCO International Shipping and Logistics Co. Ltd.

“BAFCO’s vision and mission is to be a trusted and resourceful partner that has been quick to invest in cutting-edge technology to drive efficiencies and take full advantage of the visibility, accessibility and connectivity it brings.”

Established in 1992, BAFCO is based in Jeddah with additional branches in Riyadh, Dammam, Jubail, and Rabigh.

“The Saudi Government’s Saudi Vision 2030 will see huge growth in freight and logistics activity and, as such, it was vital that WACO got the right member in place,” said Richard Charles, chief executive officer, WACO.

“As with all new members, we have conducted extensive meetings with BAFCO and have been nothing but impressed by their professionalism and are convinced they will be a sound asset to The WACO System.”

Launched in 2016, Saudi Vision 2030, is an ambitious plan to diversify the Saudi economy and reduce its dependence on hydrocarbons.
