Air Cargo News Awards partners with the Humanitarian Logistics Association

Air Cargo News is delighted to have partnered with the Humanitarian Logistics Association (HLA) at this year’s Air Cargo News Awards.

HLA will be the official charity partner of the prestigious awards event taking place in the UK on September 16.

Air Cargo News editor Damian Brett said: “We are delighted that HLA is this year’s charity partner. It gives us an opportunity to highlight the important work being carried out by HLA, whose members work to prepare for and respond to global emergencies.”

At the event, HLA’s chief executive George Fenton will provide an overview of the important work carried out, as well as host a fundraising prize draw.

Fenton said: “The Humanitarian Logistics Association is excited and extremely honoured to be a Charity Partner to the 2022 Air Cargo News Awards.

“Our charity is at the forefront of knowledge exchange, a function which is increasingly critical during humanitarian crises.

“We are looking forward to sharing more about HLA and how the air cargo network can support us and the wider aid community.”

 HLA was established in 2009 and is a non-profit, UK-based NGO. Since its inception, HLA has become a recognised and respected player in the Aid Sector, with a significant network.

HLA facilitates better connections between supply and demand, enabling cross-sector learning, innovations and partnerships, supporting market transparency, reducing waste and harnessing opportunities to help its network become greater than the sum of its parts.

Meanwhile, the Air Cargo News Awards, now in their 38th year, bring together almost 250 people to honour and celebrate those companies that have invested in providing great customer service, operational excellence and innovative technologies.

This year the prestigious event takes place at the Runnymede-on-Thames Hotel close to Heathrow with 15 awards up for grabs, including the Cargo Airline of the Year prize.
