Cargo specialist Liege Airport will appoint two new cargo leaders, with Frédéric Brun and Alexis Lapot starting work at the Belgian hub.

Brun will take the role of head of commercial cargo and logistics while Lapot will be senior manager cargo sales when he begins in November.

Brun has more than 15 years experience in the logistics industry and joins from global logistics provider DSV where he worked for nine years, most recently as branch manager Liege.

He has also worked for DB Schenker, Rhenus Logistics and Maersk.

Brun will manage the commercial team of Liege Airport and report to Torsten Wefers, vice president of marketing and sales.

Lapot has nearly 10 years of experience in aviation and logistics and will join in October.

He joins from cargo handler WFS, where his current position is airline key account manager, and has also worked for CAL Cargo Airlines.

He will manage and develop LA’s cargo airline portfolio and report to Frédéric Brun.

“With these two senior manager appointments, Liege Airport will strengthen and expand its commercial cargo team and further execute its cargo-only strategy,” Wefers said.

Liege Airport appeals permit that will reduce “activities drastically and rapidly”
