ITA Airways Cargo is partnering with global freight booking platform WebCargo to enable forwarders across 19 countries to easily price and book air cargo in real time.

WebCargo offers live air cargo rate distribution and bookings between hundreds of airlines and 3,500+ forwarders across over 10,000 forwarding offices.

The Freightos Group-owned company said the partnership allows forwarders across 19 countries, including Italy, Belgium, Spain, France, Germany, Switzerland, the US and Netherlands to easily price and book air cargo, with a native integration to WebCargo’s freight rate management and sales platforms.

Digital distribution expansion is a key strategic pillar of ITA Airways Cargo development plan and ITA plans to further expand its geographic scope to additional regions in 2023.

“We’re thrilled to have the first Italian carrier digitise with WebCargo, and to support ITA in their mission to deliver a world-class customer experience,” said Camilo Garcia, global VP business development at WebCargo.

“As we observe the rapid adoption of eBookings, particularly across Europe and the Americas, we’re continuing to see the benefits of digital sales in expanding the ‘shop-window’ for carriers, by enabling large and small forwarders alike to discover and access their services, 24/7, through platforms like WebCargo.”

With the addition of ITA Airways, airlines representing over 45% of global air cargo capacity are available for booking on WebCargo, the largest capacity availability across any platform, said WebCargo.
