Global Critical Logistics expands in Asia Pacific with double deal

Time-critical and live event logistics firm Global Critical Logistics (GCL) has expanded its presence in the Asia Pacific region through the acquisition of two New Zealand-based forwarders.
GCL announced yesterday that it had acquired Auckland-based Time Frame Logistics and Wellington-based Xtreme Forwarding.
Time Frame specialises in live event logistics and will have its assets and business integrated into GCL’s live event business, Rock-it Global.
The company will be re-branded as Rock-it Global New Zealand.
Time Frame transports music touring production gear, camera kits, live broadcasting equipment, theatre shows, stadium events, and special projects with complex needs.
Meanwhile, film and television transportation firm Xtreme Forwarding will continue operating under its current brand.
“Acquiring these two New Zealand companies with capabilities across our core end markets strengthens our geographic footprint in a key cornerstone of the Asia Pacific region, while also giving us direct access to local customers seeking to grow beyond their home markets,” said GCL chief executive Daniel Rosenthal.
“We are constantly evaluating strategic opportunities to grow the business, enhance our value proposition to customers, and expand our service offerings across the world.”
Time Frame founder and general manager Mark Selwood added: “This partnership will further allow us to leverage a global network and shared resources for our existing customers, while continuing to deliver critical solutions in New Zealand and the Asia Pacific region.”
Selwood will continue to lead Rock-it Global New Zealand.
Xtreme Forwarding founder and managing director Steve Rowland said that his business would also benefit from the global presence of GCL.
“Importantly, this move will allow our teams to leverage a global network of specialists to serve our clients more efficiently and on a broader geographical scale,” he said.
