Sirianni to spearhead Menzies’ Americas sales

Global handling company Menzies Aviation has appointed Scott Sirianni as vice president of sales for the Americas region.

He joins from American Airlines, where he was director of multinational accounts and has worked with the carrier for more than 11 years overseeing strategy, contracting, and execution of global partnerships with airlines. He was instrumental in creating value-based relationships delivering both customer and airline goals.

In his new role at Menzies Aviation, he will be responsible for new partnerships, bolstering existing relationships and expanding the company’s footprint in the region.

Menzies Aviation executive vice-president for the Americas, John Redmond said: “Scott’s experience, strategic thinking and proven track record make him the ideal candidate to lead our growth plans, and we have no doubt he will contribute significantly to our success. We look forward to working together to expand our footprint and services across North America and beyond.”

London, UK-headquartered Menzies Aviation operates handling services at over 255 airports in more than 60 countries, serving over 4m flights a year and handling some 2m tonnes of cargo.

Its workforce of over 40,000 people provide services including air cargo handling, warehousing and wholesale freight forwarding, along with passenger services and aircraft fuelling.

It is the largest aviation services group in the world by number of countries and aircraft turns.
