Cargolux welcomes animal facility expansion

Cargolux has welcomed the extension of Luxair’s animal facility at its cargo hub in Luxembourg.

Luxair, which is a shareholder in the all-cargo airline, recently added a series of new fixed stalls to the facility, while nine collapsible stalls are now available on request.

The additions bring total capacity at the centre, which also offers live animal inspection rooms and veterinary facilities, to 50 stalls.

In a second phase, Luxair will make a room available to grooms and animal handlers that allows them to remain with their travelling animals at all times.

The news was welcomed by Cargolux as earlier this year it launched a specialist animal product, named CV Alive.
