CAL Engines takes off

CAL Cargo Airlines has launched a dedicated product for the transport of aircraft engines.
The new product, CAL Engines, is able to service non-purged units because the airline’s team is qualified to deal with dangerous goods.
The launch of CAL Engines comes one month after the release of CAL VAL – a proprietary product for the transportation of artwork and valuables. Israeli-headquartered CAL, with a European hub in Liege, Belgium, has a fleet of two production B747-400 freighters.
Eyal Zagagi, chief executive of CAL, said: "As an airline, we are especially sensitive to the importance and delicate requirements of engine transport and aircraft on ground (AOG). Over the past few years our business in the engine segment has increased by an average of 25% per year, testament to our good service and repeat customers."
