XPO man to lead transport experts

The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport in the UK has appointed former XPO Logistics director Kevin Richardson as its new chief executive from on 1 December. He will take over from Steve Agg, who is stepping down after nearly ten years in the role on 1 January.
Richardson was XPO’s European development director for four years and before that spent 20 years at logistics operator TDG where he was latterly strategic development director.
CILT board chairman Professor Richard Wilding said: “He will lead the Institute with commitment, energy and a wealth of expertise into a new era within the logistics and transport sector.”
CILT president Beverley Bell added: “His experience in the logistics and transport sector will ensure the Institute continues to grow as the profession expands and develops.”
