Jettainer appoints Riekert as it aims for global expansion

ULD management firm Jettainer has appointed Thorsten Riekert (49) as its new sales director as the Lufthansa Cargo subsidiary aims to expand its customer base.
Riekert has held various senior positions in sales operations within the Lufthansa Group and most recently was head of sales & key account management at Lufthansa Technical Training.
Prior to this, he gained experience in the operational airline world in air traffic and in the air-cargo sector at other airlines.
Jettainer said that with the help of Riekert it aimed to “progressively expand its customer base and therefore continue [our] global expansion course”.
Jettainer managing director Carsten Hernig said: “Riekert is now not only complementing our team as a proven airline expert, but also as an experienced sales professional.
“His excellent knowledge of the sector will render great services for us, both as we look after and expand our business with existing customers and as we acquire new customers.”
