Microchip machines on the move via Moscow

AirBridgeCargo Airlines (ABC) moved some microchip production machines from Amsterdam to Dalian in China for forwarder, DB Schenker. They travelled on two ABC Boeing 747 freighter flights via the airline’s hub in Moscow.
The main machine systems were packed in specially-designed containers with internal climate control; additional parts were crated with shock indicators on all sides.
ABC’s general manager in Amsterdam, Henk-Jan van Keulen, said: "At ABC, we pay particular attention to the services we provide to customers in the technology sector to ensure the safety and security of their highly delicate and high value shipments…High tech goods are strictly monitored throughout the delivery chain, and our customers are able to track the progress of their shipment with us every step of the journey.”
Head of DB Schenker’s Benelux airfreight cluster, Joep Bruijs, added: “Safety, security, speed and reliability are the reasons why we chose AirBridgeCargo to carry out these very important flights.
When there is damage to the packaging, there is possible damage to the product and that is unacceptable to us. Therefore, we chose a partner we knew would keep our cargo safe on the airport apron, in the warehouse, during all loading and unloading procedures, and while in transit.”
