Maiden flight for CRJ200SF converted freighter

Aeronautical Engineers Inc. (AEI) has completed the maiden flight of its CRJ200SF passenger to freighter conversion aircraft which has a main deck payload of up to 6.7 tonnes.
The test flights mark the final stages in the overall certification process, of which AEI expects US Federal Aviation Authority certification to “follow imminently”.
Michigan based IFL Group is the launch customer for the CRJ200 SF and new orders “continue to remain strong” said AEI, which currently has 45 firm orders and commitments.
The conformity CRJ200SF aircraft was modified by Miami-based Commercial Jet.
The AEI CRJ200SF offers two separate cargo loading system options: eight 61.5” x 88” or eight 62” x 88” ULD positions, achievable due to the twinjet’s 94” x 77” main deck cargo door.
