Dachser doubles in Shanghai

Dachser has doubled its space at Shanghai Pudong Airport Bonded Zone from 32,300 to 64,600sq ft.
The German-owned forwarder said the extra space would, together with its existing facility at Beijing International Airport, improve service and increase flexibility. Having gateway operations at two airports also increases the flexibility to move cargo by truck.
Inbound and outbound cargo for the ten Dachser branches in North China will be routed through either gateway, depending on geography, specific requirements of the goods or the market situation.
President and chief executive of Dachser USA, Frank Guenzerodt, explained: “This new service offers US customers a more efficient coordination and management of all air freight moving through North China. Our direct transport system and routing ensures reliable shipments with enhanced flexibility and competitive pricing.”
