Aeromexico signs cool containers deal

Thermal container specialist va-Q-tec has signed an agreement with Mexican flag carrier Aeroméxico Cargo to offer door to door cold chain solutions to pharmaceutical and life science customers.
Aeroméxico Cargo now offers va-Q-tainer’ units directly, providing six temperature ranges from -70°C to +25°C in five sizes, with space for up to two US pallets. They offer constant temperature control for several days without using external energy sources.
Joachim Kuhn, chief executive of va-Q-tec, said: “Pharma is a significant industry segment in Mexico and the country is the eleventh largest global market for pharmaceutical products…The increased global connectivity we will achieve through our partnership with Aeroméxico Cargo helps underpin our strategy for the Americas.”
