Brussels load factor dips

Brussels Airlines has posted a slight decline in its cargo load factor for February, down 1.8 percentage points year on year at 74%.
Freight volumes carried in the airline’s bellyhold space “grew significantly” during the month, rising 35% – but capacity grew faster. Available ton-km stood at 167.446 while revenue ton-km totalled 128,838.
Looking back over 2017, Brussels Airlines reported its third consecutive year of positive results overall as its operating profit came in at €14.98m.
A statement noted that the carrier’s cargo activities contributed to a strong performance on the Africa sector last year.
