ST Engineering adds Pensacola MRO facility

Adding to its existing two maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) sites in San Antonio, Texas and Mobile, Alabama, Singapore-headquartered ST Engineering has opened a third facility in the US – this one located at Pensacola International Airport in Florida.
“Pensacola serves as an excellent base for us to serve the MRO needs of the North America region given its rich pool of highly trained engineering and aviation talent,” said Lim Serh Ghee, president of ST Engineering’s Aerospace division.”
The new 173,500 sq ft hangar, which cost $46m, can accommodate simultaneously two of the largest Boeing 777 widebodies or six A321 narrowbody aircraft. It offers heavy and line maintenance services, as well as aircraft modification work, and its launch customer is United Parcel Service (UPS).
ST Aerospace has a total of seven airframe facilities spread out across the Americas, Asia Pacific and Europe.
