Panalpina brings airfreight to the top table with board expansion

Panalpina is enlarging its executive board to reflect its growth targets for its core airfreight, ocean freight and logistics products.
The forwarder has confirmed that Swiss-born Lucas Kuehner, an 18-year Panalpina veteran, will be promoted to executive vice president, air freight from January 1, 2019. He has worked at Panalpina since 2000, and has been the global head of air freight and a member of Panalpina’s executive committee since 2012.
Danish-born Peder Winther is to become executive vice president, ocean freight. He will join Panalpina on February 1, 2019 from Kuehne + Nagel, where he most recently served as president and regional manager Western Europe.
Panalpina  will make a further announcement on an appointment to the logistics role at a later date.
