Volga-Dnepr’s got a lot of bottle with Uganda flight

Volga-Dnepr Airlines has flown a bottle-filling machine and additional equipment onboard its An-124-100 freighter to Uganda.
The charter flight was carried out on behalf of customer LS International Cargo, with the aircraft taking off in Munich and transporting the machine to Entebbe for Crown Beverage, a leading soft drinks bottler in Uganda.
Before the flight could take place, Volga-Dnepr organised an inspection of the cargo in Munich to find the most suitable loading solution, provide suggestions for cargo preparation for airfreight, and to minimize the time required for airport handling procedures on the day of departure.
On the day of the flight, the machinery was loaded into the An-124-100 using special loading equipment.
"Accessibility of the airplane at our local operational base in Germany made the costs for positioning the aircraft minimal and the charter flight attractive for our customer price-wise,” said Ekaterina Andreeva, commercial manager of Volga-Dnepr in the UK.
