Aviation Capital Group to finance a B747-8F for AirBridgeCargo

AirBridgeCargo (ABC) is using Aviation Capital Group (ACG) to finance part of the Russia-based operator’s purchase of a Boeing 747-8F which is set for delivery next month (February).

The freighter airline’s financing mandate to “structure, arrange, and provide a guarantee” for a senior loan was awarded to the US-based aircraft operating lessor under ACG’s Aircraft Financing Solutions (AFS) program.

“ACG is extremely pleased to have this opportunity to work with ABC. The award of a financing mandate from ABC is a notable achievement and an important milestone, as it will be the first aircraft transaction funded under the AFS program,” said Bob Roy, managing director of ACG.

Tatiana Arslanova, vice-president, strategic management of ABC parent, Volga-Dnepr Group, said: “Expansion of our fleet and network is a part of our strategy and we are delighted to partner with ACG to be a part of our success.

“We are grateful to ACG for their support both to ABC and the 747-8 program. We are positive that this delivery will be the next step for us to enhance our quality to meet our customers’ needs.”
