Cargojet to add three freighters

CANADA-BASED Cargojet is planning to add three B767-300ER freighters to its fleet after signing a US$100m deal with North American financing company Element.
"Cargojet has established a dominant market position in Canada servicing long-term contracts for high quality clients,” observes Tony Bergeron, president of Element Aviation Finance.
Dr Ajay K Virmani, president and chief executive of Cargojet, adds: "The new generation, long range, fuel efficient and environmentally-friendly aircraft will enable us to expand the geographic reach and capacity of our network.”
Cargojet currently has a fleet comprising a B767-300ER, a B767-200ER, a B757-200ER and a B727-200AF long-range freighter.
