AA Cargo’s Q1 revenue up, but yields drop

AMERICAN Airlines Cargo and US Airways Cargo, the freight arms of the merged American Airlines Group, recorded a 4.9 per cent rise in airfreight revenues to US$206m in the first quarter of 2014.
The US carrier’s freight tonnage was 560 million, up 11.9 per cent in comparison with the same period last year.
But cargo yields were down 6.3 per cent.
