Airbase GSE scoops IAG Cargo ULD repair deal

IAG Cargo has awarded its ULD repair and maintenance contract to Airbase GSE.

The transition from the previous supplier was managed by IAG Cargo and Airbase GSE management teams working closely together to ensure a “seamless transition for IAG Cargo operations”.

Airbase GSE has repaired in excess of 30,000 ULDs for IAG Cargo since the contract started. It provides IAG Cargo customers with an average turnaround time of less than 20 minutes.

The contract operates out of a 81,000 sq ft secure unit, including 6 loading docks, located under 2 miles from Heathrow Airport.

Airbase GSE chief executive Nicholas Payne said: “We are really pleased with IAG Cargo’s decision and are honoured to be working with and supporting at this exciting time of growth and change. We will strive to deliver the highest level of safety and industry practices while remaining scalable for IAG Cargo’s future growth.”
