Air Malta appoints NAS as cargo agent

Air Malta has appointed Network Airline Services (NAS) to be its general sales and services agent (GSSA) as it looks to expand its cargo volumes.
NAS will start its GSSA duties from June 1 and will provide guaranteed income as part of a total cargo management agreement that will see the agent work with the airline on sales and marketing, pricing and revenue management, cargo reservations, revenue accounting, back-office administration, IT systems, cargo handling and interline contracts.
Air Malta head of cargo sales and marketing John Vella said: “Our vision is to strategically strengthen our position and regain a global cargo footprint and presence through NAS’s network.
“Locally we intend to grow our market share and become the leading carrier of choice for the carriage of cargo, courier and mail shipments both as an airline and more importantly as the National carrier.”
