WOW bows out after ceasing operations

Icelandic low cost carrier WOW Air has ceased operation after cancelling all of its flights.

The operator of Airbus A320, A321, and A330 aircraft, has faced financial difficulties in recent months.

Icelandair, which had been in takeover talks with WOW,  has announced that it will assist stranded passengers by providing discounted fares to and from several cities in Europe and North America.
