CAL Group makes new appointment as it looks to expand

The CAL Group has appointed Yossi Shoukroun as its new chief operating officer.
Shoukroun, who was previously general manager of Liege Air Cargo Handling Services (LACHS), will take up the newly created position this month.
The role will see him take responsibility for the ground operations of both CAL Cargo Airlines and LACHS ground handling services in Liege.
Although not a direct replacement, he takes up the position after vice president ground operations and chief operating officer of CAL Cargo Airlines Rami Marom decided to step down after nine years.
Marom said: "Over the years I was partner to many changes, many of which I initiated. It’s time to hand over the reins and I am pleased to hand over to Yossi.
“From a personal perspective, I feel this is the right time to move on to new challenges, and I wish the best of luck to Yossi and to CAL."
The difference in role responsibility stems from the fact the company is looking to expand through Liege.
CAL chief executive Eyal Zagagi said: "We are focusing on adding new routes, with Liege at the centre of this activity.
"Bringing on a global operations manager in Liege will help us establish the infrastructure necessary to support this strategy."
