ECS scoops Meridiana GSSA contract

ECS Group has won a contract to provide global general sales and service agent services to Italian leisure airline Meridiana.
Under the three year contract, ECS will provide its total cargo management services to Meridiana, mainly focussing on its prime cargo routes to and from Mexico, the US and the Dominican Republic.
Meridiana operates wide-body Boeing 767 aircraft and narrow-body 737 aircraft, with a capacity of about 10 tonnes.
ECS expects to generate a good 4,000 tonnes per year by transporting a vast amount of dangerous goods and perishable commodities.
Meridiana chief executive Richard Creagh said: “I am sure our new partnership will help us grow in those important cargo markets. ECS’s total cargo management is unique in standards, scale and quality.”
