FedEx ‘poised for Boeing order’
10 / 07 / 2015
Rumours are circulating in the industry that express logistics firm FedEx is about to place an order for 50 767-300F and ten 777F freighter aircraft. The reports are based on a report in aviation newsletter Leeham News.
There have been previous suggestions that FedEx was interested in obtaining further examples of the type, which is reportedly popular with the Memphis-based company, despite its relatively old design.
According to Leeham News, Boeing currently has 35 767Fs in backlog, all earmarked for FedEx and the carrier will be holding a board meeting in Seattle, home of the Boeing production plant, later this month.
We were unable to reach either Boeing for FedEx for comment at this time.
