Fraport to host air cargo innovation lab

Frankfurt Airport operator Fraport has announced it will play host to a new event in September that will explore future innovation in air cargo.
The Air Cargo Innovation Lab, which is being run in co-operation with DVV Media and Air Cargo News, will explore what air cargo logistics operations will look like in the future, what impact big data and new technologies will have on the industry and the changes that outside players and cross-border e-commerce will bring.
“The event offers forward thinkers and leading minds a platform to engage in dialog with one another and reflect on how to respond to current trends in the air cargo business,” Fraport said.
“Attendees can participate in interactive workshops and discussions to find out about innovative approaches, gain new ideas, and test out their own initiatives.
“It will also provide an opportunity to see and experience the latest developments from Silicon Valley.
“Innovative technologies will be displayed and start-ups will present their concepts.”
The two-day event will take place at Frankfurt Airport on September 27-28.
