Air Partner and Ruslan fly mobile hospital

AIR charter broker Air Partner and Ruslan International have successfully transported a portable health centre from Turkey to Tangiers, writes Thelma Etim, deputy editor.
The 44-tonne clinic comprising 10 individual units – including a radiology room, operating theatre, intensive care unit, pharmacy and twin generators – was flown on an AN-124 aircraft from its manufacturer to IBN Battouta Airport, says a company statement.
“We chose the AN-124 because it could carry all 10 units on a single flight and its on-board crane system meant loading and unloading could be performed directly to and from road vehicles – without the need for any handling equipment,” reveals Emir Ozdabak, Air Partner’s regional freight manager for Turkey.
Ruslan manages and markets the 17-strong fleet of An-124 aircraft belonging to its shareholders Antonov Airlines and Volga Dnepr Airlines.
